Community Guidelines
Effective Date: September 28, 2026
Wares Point is a community for people building businesses, learning new skills, experimenting with online income, sharing projects, comparing tools, and helping one another make better decisions.
These Community Guidelines apply to forums, comments, profiles, private messages, reviews, project submissions, and other community areas of Wares Point.
By participating in the Wares Point community, you agree to follow these guidelines in addition to the Wares Point Terms of Service.
1. Participate in Good Faith
Wares Point exists to help people learn, build, and earn.
You do not have to agree with other members, but discussions should contribute something useful.
Healthy disagreement is welcome. Personal attacks are not.
Challenge ideas, strategies, claims, products, and arguments without turning disagreements into harassment of the person making them.
2. Be Respectful
Do not use Wares Point to:
- Harass or threaten another person
- Engage in targeted bullying
- Stalk another member
- Encourage others to harass someone
- Repeatedly provoke another member after being asked to stop
- Publish degrading attacks aimed at an individual or group
- Intentionally disrupt discussions
Criticism can be direct. It should still be relevant to the discussion.
3. No Hate or Dehumanizing Content
Content that attacks, threatens, or dehumanizes people based on protected characteristics is not permitted.
Discussions about controversial subjects may occur when relevant, but they must remain focused on ideas, events, business issues, policies, or legitimate discussion rather than attacks against people because of who they are.
4. No Threats or Encouragement of Violence
Do not make credible threats of violence or encourage violence against another person.
Content that reasonably appears to present an immediate safety concern may be removed and may result in account restrictions or additional action.
5. No Doxxing or Exposure of Private Information
Do not publish another person's private information without authorization.
This includes information such as:
- Home addresses
- Private phone numbers
- Personal email addresses not intended for publication
- Government identification numbers
- Financial information
- Account credentials
- Private correspondence
- Precise private location information
Public business contact information may generally be discussed when relevant.
6. No Spam
Wares Point is not a dumping ground for advertisements.
Do not:
- Repeatedly post the same link
- Mass-message members with promotions
- Create accounts primarily to advertise
- Post irrelevant affiliate links
- Flood discussions with promotional material
- Automatically generate large numbers of low-quality posts
- Use misleading headlines to drive traffic elsewhere
Relevant links to your own work are welcome when they genuinely contribute to the conversation.
7. Self-Promotion Is Allowed When It Adds Value
Wares Point is a business community, so members are allowed to talk about their businesses, websites, products, services, and projects.
The difference between participation and spam is context and value.
Good examples include:
- Sharing a project and asking for feedback
- Explaining how you built something
- Answering a question and linking to a relevant resource you created
- Posting your site in a forum specifically intended for project sharing
- Discussing lessons learned from your business
Repeatedly inserting your business into unrelated discussions may be treated as spam.
8. Disclose Affiliate Relationships
If you recommend a product or service using an affiliate link or another arrangement that may compensate you, clearly disclose that relationship.
Do not disguise affiliate links as neutral recommendations.
Wares Point may remove undisclosed affiliate promotions, particularly when they appear deceptive or excessive.
9. No Scams or Deceptive Opportunities
Do not use Wares Point to promote fraud, intentionally misleading business opportunities, fake investment schemes, pyramid schemes, impersonation schemes, phishing, or other deceptive activity.
Members discussing potentially questionable opportunities for educational or warning purposes are allowed to do so.
The distinction is whether the content is examining the activity or attempting to recruit people into it.
10. Be Honest About Results
If you discuss earnings, traffic, sales, conversions, business results, or other performance claims, do not intentionally fabricate results.
When relevant, provide context.
For example:
- Revenue is not the same as profit.
- One successful month does not guarantee future results.
- Results from paid advertising should identify significant advertising expenses when those expenses materially affect the claim.
You are not required to disclose private financial records simply because another member asks.
11. No Guaranteed-Income Claims
Members may discuss ways to make money online, but claims should not be presented as guaranteed outcomes when they are not.
Avoid statements such as:
- "Anyone will make $5,000 a month doing this."
- "This cannot fail."
- "Guaranteed passive income."
- "You will definitely make your money back."
Discuss the opportunity, evidence, risks, costs, and your actual experience instead.
12. Criticism and Reviews
Honest reviews and criticism are allowed.
Members may criticize:
- Businesses
- Hosting providers
- Software
- Platforms
- Products
- Services
- Business strategies
- Wares Point itself
Do not knowingly fabricate allegations.
When discussing personal experiences, clearly distinguish between what happened to you and broader claims about a company or service.
Businesses do not receive special protection from legitimate criticism simply because the criticism is negative.
13. Keep Discussions Relevant
Post content in an appropriate forum or discussion.
Moderators may:
- Move topics
- Rename unclear topics
- Merge duplicates
- Split discussions
- Close outdated or derailed threads
These actions are organizational and do not necessarily mean a member violated a rule.
14. Use Useful Topic Titles
Topic titles should give readers a reasonable idea of what the discussion is about.
Avoid titles such as:
- "HELP!!!"
- "LOOK AT THIS"
- "QUESTION"
- "URGENT"
- "YOU WON'T BELIEVE THIS"
A title like:
"Best low-cost hosting option for a new WooCommerce store?"
is substantially more useful.
15. Do Not Manipulate Community Activity
Do not attempt to artificially manipulate:
- Likes
- Votes
- Reactions
- Reviews
- Polls
- Reputation systems
- Contests
- Member rankings
Do not create additional accounts to support your own posts or attack other members.
16. One Person, Multiple Accounts
Having more than one account is not automatically prohibited when there is a legitimate reason.
Using multiple accounts to evade moderation, impersonate different people, manipulate discussions, or deceive members is prohibited.
17. Usernames and Profiles
Usernames, avatars, biographies, and profile information must follow these Community Guidelines.
Do not use profile features to:
- Impersonate another person or organization
- Publish prohibited content
- Advertise spam
- Mislead users about being a Wares Point employee or moderator
18. Private Messages
Community rules also apply to private messages sent through Wares Point.
Do not use private messages for:
- Harassment
- Threats
- Spam
- Phishing
- Fraud
- Repeated unsolicited promotions
Private messaging is not intended as a secure storage system for confidential or highly sensitive information.
19. Intellectual Property
Only post material you have the right to share.
Do not upload or reproduce substantial copyrighted material simply because it is available elsewhere online.
Reasonable quotation, discussion, commentary, linking, and other legally permitted uses are allowed.
If you are sharing someone else's work, attribution is encouraged where appropriate.
20. AI-Generated Content
AI tools may be used to assist with Wares Point posts.
However, members remain responsible for what they publish.
Do not flood Wares Point with automatically generated low-quality content.
AI-generated posts should still:
- Be relevant
- Add value
- Be reviewed before posting
- Avoid fabricated factual claims
- Follow all other Community Guidelines
Using AI does not excuse spam, plagiarism, misinformation, or abuse.
21. Malware and Security Abuse
Do not post or distribute:
- Malware
- Ransomware
- Credential-stealing software
- Malicious scripts
- Phishing pages
- Intentionally compromised downloads
Legitimate security research and educational discussion may be permitted when it is clearly intended for defensive, lawful purposes and does not place Wares Point users at unreasonable risk.
22. Illegal Activity
Do not use Wares Point to conduct or coordinate illegal activity.
Educational discussion of laws, scams, cybercrime, fraud, controversial business practices, or similar topics is not prohibited merely because the subject itself involves unlawful behavior.
Context matters.
23. Adult and Explicit Content
Wares Point is a general business and community platform.
Pornographic or sexually explicit content is not appropriate for the community.
Limited discussion of adult industries may be permitted when genuinely relevant to business, technology, payment processing, legal, marketing, or industry analysis and presented professionally.
24. Buying, Selling, and Business Transactions
If Wares Point provides areas where members can offer products or services, users participate in those transactions at their own risk unless Wares Point explicitly states otherwise.
Wares Point is not automatically a party to transactions arranged between community members.
Before sending money or sensitive information to another member, perform your own due diligence.
Report suspected scams to Wares Point.
25. Do Not Impersonate Wares Point Staff
Do not claim to be:
- Jeremy Womack
- A Wares Point administrator
- A Wares Point moderator
- A Wares Point employee or official representative
unless you actually hold that role.
Staff and moderator status should be identified through official account indicators where available.
26. Moderation
Wares Point may moderate content when necessary to maintain the community.
Possible moderation actions include:
- Informal reminders
- Editing formatting or titles
- Moving content
- Removing content
- Closing discussions
- Issuing warnings
- Temporarily limiting posting privileges
- Suspending accounts
- Permanently banning accounts
Moderation does not necessarily follow a fixed sequence.
A serious violation may result in immediate suspension or termination.
27. Context Matters
Moderators may consider:
- Intent
- Severity
- Frequency
- Previous behavior
- Whether harm was caused
- Whether the member attempted to correct the problem
- Whether behavior appears accidental or deliberate
- Overall community impact
A technical violation does not automatically require the harshest possible response.
28. Moderator Discretion
No written rule can anticipate every situation.
Wares Point moderators may take reasonable action against behavior that clearly undermines the community even when the exact behavior is not described word-for-word in these Guidelines.
This discretion should be used to protect legitimate community participation, not to suppress ordinary disagreement or criticism.
29. Disagreeing With Moderation
Members may respectfully question a moderation decision.
Do not repeatedly derail unrelated discussions to argue about moderation.
For significant concerns, contact:
Provide the username, discussion, moderation action, and any relevant context.
30. Reporting Content
If you encounter content that appears to violate these Community Guidelines, use Wares Point's reporting tools where available.
For serious concerns, you may also contact:
Do not organize public harassment campaigns against another member as a substitute for reporting the issue.
31. False Reports
Do not intentionally abuse reporting systems to harass another member or attempt to remove legitimate content simply because you disagree with it.
Good-faith reports will not be penalized merely because moderators ultimately determine that no violation occurred.
32. Community Guidelines and Terms of Service
These Community Guidelines supplement the Wares Point Terms of Service.
If there is a conflict between these Guidelines and the Terms of Service, the Terms of Service control.
Wares Point's Privacy Policy separately explains how personal information is handled.
33. Changes to These Guidelines
Wares Point may update these Community Guidelines as the community and its features evolve.
The effective date will be updated when material changes are made.
Major changes may also be announced through Wares Point.
